Are You Seeking Skilled Employees?

If you are an employer who needs qualified employees, look to Goodwill. In 2006, we served 6,857 individuals with disabilities and disadvantaging conditions and 2,598 individuals were placed into competitive employment.

Goodwills’ job training and employment services are created to meet the needs of community employers. Goodwill can match employees with the skills and interests that meet the requirements of your jobs. Trained workers may be available to work in a variety of jobs including housekeeping, retail, packaging, and office administration to name a few.

Goodwill can also consult with you about hiring workers with disabilities.
They can help you understand how simple workplace accommodations and assistive technology devices can promote career success for employees with disabilities.

Contact Goodwill if your company is interested in being a work experience site. This provides people who have a limited work history with an opportunity to develop a skill while performing a needed job function for the employer. As a work experience site, the employer is not responsible for paying any wages. If an employer hires an individual who qualifies for on-the-job training, it is possible that up to 50% of the wages can be reimbursed for six months.

Goodwill can also provide you with information about tax benefits and assistance with paying wages that may be available when you hire workers with disabilities and/or those who have low-incomes.
