A Message from President and CEO Frank McGree

For the first time in 50 years, our Goodwill has a new home. Located at 72nd and Ames, this 70,000 square-foot headquarters offers the size and versatility to lead us into a future of service to the community. It features our largest retail store, an enhanced community room and an expanded area for our employment programs.

The relocation of our headquarters also demanded that we establish a new Retail Operations Center (or ROC). We accomplished this in June, when we opened a 90,000 square-foot warehouse and retail space at 72nd and F.

From the time we began the discussion of possibly moving our headquarters, to the actual move was five years. There’s no question we’re still enjoying a sense of excitement and accomplishment from this huge undertaking.

But Goodwill is more than buildings. We exist to serve our mission. To date, our various training programs have worked with 1,950 people and helped find employment for 244 at an average starting wage of $8.74.

I want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. We hope you remember Goodwill’s programs when making end-of-the-year donations and contributions. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of our community.
