Located just two blocks north of Maple Street, Goodwill’s 156th & Ruggles facility serves the northwest part of the metro in several ways.

Goodwill provides a convenient location for area residents to drop off their material donations.  With a double-lane, covered bay, and a Goodwill employee on-hand to help with the unloading of materials and issue a receipt for tax purposes, making a donation to Goodwill is a breeze!

Your shopping experience is made just as convenient!  Goodwill’s stores are laid out in typical retail fashion with women’s, men’s and children’s clothing color-coded and hanging neatly on racks to make your search for the perfect outfit fast and easy!

Manager, Mary Cox, says “The diversity of Goodwill is amazing.  Not only do we provide our customers and donors with a clean and friendly place to shop and donate, we are also giving people with disabilities a chance to learn real world working skills to become independent.”

What Cox is referring to is the Work Experience Training Program, one of many training programs run by Goodwill, that is housed at the 156th & Maple Street facility.  Through this program, eight special education students from the Gretna, Fremont, Elkhorn and Omaha school districts work side-by-side with Goodwill employment & training and retail staffs to learn custodial, outsourcing, production, stocking and customer service skills that will help them transition into the working world after graduation.
