Our services are funded through government agencies, private support, and with the proceeds from the sale of donated goods. Goodwill is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)3 agency that is governed by a local board of trustees. Goodwill is affiliated with NISH, a national agency established by law to help community rehabilitation programs (CRPs) like Goodwill secure federal contracts and Ability One, who helps provide employment opportunities for people who are blind or have severe disabilities in the manufacture and delivery of products and services to the federal government. These contracts provide jobs for people with severe disabilities. Goodwill is accredited by CARF, the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission, and has been recognized by the Safety Council, the Better Business Bureau and presented with distinguished national awards including a NISH National Award, the William M. Usdane Award and a Goodwill Industries International Award, the Edgar J. Helms Staff Award.
